This February 4-8, 2026, members of the Hofstra Black Law Students Association (BLSA) will have the opportunity to attend the 58th Annual Northeast Black Law Students Association (NEBLSA) Convention in Uniondale, New York.
The NEBLSA Convention is more than a conference—it’s a transformative experience where law students connect with peers and mentors, sharpen their advocacy skills, and prepare to lead in the legal profession.
For many of our BLSA students, the cost of attending poses a significant barrier. That’s where you come in.
We’ve launched this campaign to raise $5,000 to cover registration fees for 23 BLSA students who would like to attend the NEBLSA convention. With your support, these students will have the chance to fully engage in this impactful experience.
When you give, you’re not just covering expenses — you’re affirming our students’ potential and investing in future lawyers who will champion justice, equity, and service.
Your gift makes a difference!
With a gift of $200, you will support one student to allow them to have access to an all-inclusive registration package:
- All Access Badge – Entry to all convention sessions and activities
- Convention Bag – Essentials and keepsakes for your experience
- NEBLSA 58 T-Shirt – A commemorative piece to mark the occasion
- Mobile App Access – Stay connected and informed in real time
- Daily Meals – Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided throughout the convention
The all-access badge also unlocks admission to such premier events: Luncheons, Award Gala, Chair’s Reception, and the Job Fair.
Every contribution—no matter the size—brings us closer to the goal.
Give today to help Hofstra Law BLSA students seize this life-changing opportunity. Together, we’ll uplift their voices and invest in their future success.
The 2025 NEBLSA Convention provided me with invaluable career development opportunities, including multiple job interviews—one of which has already led to a job offer—and meaningful connections with fellow law students that will benefit me as both a student and a future lawyer.

The value that the 2025 NEBLSA convention gave me was that it showed me that we as young Black lawyers need to do whatever we can to keep pushing and remain in these spaces.

The NEBLSA Convention career fair was an excellent opportunity to secure internships and make genuine connections with firms and public interest groups. The plenary session provided a safe space to collectively discuss student concerns and possible solutions. Lastly, the opportunity to connect with other law students of color to support each other was by far my favorite experience.
