Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

The Hofstra Liberal Arts and Sciences Opportunities Fund is used to support students and faculty within Hofstra’s liberal arts programs.

The Fund can be used to:

• support a student who has had an emergency situation and is in need of a small amount of money to assist with their studies (i.e. books or an unexpected lab fee)
• support a faculty member who is headed to a prestigious conference to present a paper or research
• pay for a faculty member to provide transportation for students for a program, or a research effort
• pay for any number of experiential learning opportunities

Students often appeal to faculty when they are in need and faculty can then come to the Dean for support.
