Preserve Hofstra University History Support Long Island history!
The Hofstra University Archives is the official repository for the historical records of Hofstra University, preserving its rich legacy and documenting its evolution. Dedicated to chronicling the life and history of the University, the Archives support scholars, researchers, and the broader community in exploring Hofstra’s enduring impact on education, culture, and society. This invaluable resource not only safeguards Hofstra’s story but also provides insights into the contributions of its students, faculty, and alumni to the world. The Long Island Studies Institute is dedicated to the study of Long Island local heritage and regional New York state history. The Institute, situated within Hofstra University Library, holds special collections and archival materials and provides reading room services to facilitate research and public inquiries. A gift to this fund will enable us to continue to provide services, grow the collections, develop exhibits, sponsor meetings and conferences, and develop publications pertaining to Long Island and its heritage. Investments in the Joan and Donald Axinn Library directly enhance the heart of Hofstra University’s academic community. As a dynamic hub for learning, research, and collaboration, the Library provides students and faculty with access to research collections, state-of-the-art technologies, and welcoming study spaces. Your support ensures that the Axinn Library continues to adapt to the evolving needs of modern scholarship, fostering innovation, discovery, and intellectual growth for generations to come.
