When a new business student walks through our doors, ambition and curiosity meet possibility, and the path forward begins to take shape. What transforms that potential into confidence and purpose are the experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom, all made possible by supporters of the Frank G. Zarb School of Business Dean’s Fund.
Because of donors like you, students don’t just learn business—they live it.
A first-year student steps into the Zarb Core Skills Lab, immersing themselves in a virtual boardroom where they learn to present ideas with clarity and confidence. Another joins Beta Alpha Psi, meeting professionals from leading firms like Anderson, BDO, BakerTilly, CohnReznick, Deloitte, EisnerAmper, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG, and PwC, and begins to see a future they once thought was out of reach. In the Behavioral Research in Business Laboratory, students analyze eye movement and facial expressions using advanced technology, conducting real-world marketing and consumer research that builds both skill and self-belief.
Across disciplines, students collaborate in the Cybersecurity Innovation and Research Center, gaining operational experience in protecting systems and data, preparing for careers that didn’t exist just a decade ago. High-achieving students in the Dean’s Business Scholars Program receive mentorship, career guidance, and access to internships and visits to major corporations and policy centers throughout the New York metro area, helping them envision their place in the global economy.
Some Zarb students choose to take their learning across borders. In the International Entrepreneurship Consulting Course, undergraduate and graduate students travel abroad during spring break to work directly with global entrepreneurs in countries such as South Africa, Israel, and the United Kingdom. They return with a deeper understanding of the world and their own ability to make an impact within it.
Others manage real capital through the Student Managed Investment Fund and the Student Managed Sustainability Fund, making investment decisions that reflect both financial rigor and ethical responsibility. Students also lead Unispan Records, a student-run record label that provides practical experience in artist development, branding, marketing, and music business operations. At The Zarb Store, students gain applied experience in marketing, accounting, finance, supply chain, and business management, running a retail enterprise through hands-on learning, not observation.
Throughout it all, students find community and inspiration through Zarb’s executive speakers, conferences, and more than 20 student organizations, spaces where ideas are shared, leaders emerge, and futures take shape.
The Dean’s Fund also extends opportunities far beyond campus. Through the Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Program, high school students at Hempstead High School earn college credit while discovering new pathways to higher education and careers in business. The Zarb Summer Business Experience offers high school students a rigorous introduction to business and technology through both commuter and new residential options, expanding access for students who may not otherwise experience life on a college campus.
These moments, often quiet, sometimes bold, are life changing. They build confidence. They open doors. They change trajectories.
Your generosity makes them possible.
Today, we invite you to invest in students who are ready to lead, innovate, and contribute to the world of business and beyond. Please consider making a gift to the Frank G. Zarb School of Business Dean’s Fund and help turn potential into purpose.
