The Legal Hand Call-In Center of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, an initiative operated by the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, was launched in 2021. The Center serves a critical access point for residents of Long Island seeking legal information, access to justice, resources and referrals for a wide range of legal and social service issues as well as assistance with understanding Court proceedings and filling out Court Forms.
The mission of the Center is to ensure that individuals navigating these systems without legal representation have access to clear, accurate, and actionable information so they can make informed decisions and take meaningful next steps toward resolving their concerns.
